7 day Chemical Diet

So recently I've heard about this new diet called the Chemical Diet. Apparently you're supposed to do it for 7 days and lose around 6 kilos (14 pounds). I go to the gym regularly and have manage to lose a lot of weight the healthy way, but I was thinking to try this diet to get rid of the last few kilos that don't seem to want to go away.

Have any of you tried it? Any thoughts? The food you're allowed to eat all seem pretty satisfying to me. Other than the grapefruit of course, which I would really struggle with... it's way too sour. I love that there is some sort of carb included, it makes it so much more doable for me.

This is the meal plan you're meant to follow exactly:

Day 1
Breakfast 1 slice dry toast and grilled tomatoes
Lunch Fresh fruit (any amount)
Dinner 2 hard boiled eggs, salad, grapefruit

Day 2
Breakfast Grapefruit, 1 boiled egg
Lunch Roast chicken (any amount) & tomatoes
Dinner Grilled steak and salad

Day 3
Breakfast grapefruit, 1 boiled egg
Lunch 2 boiled eggs and tomatoes
Dinner Grilled lamb chops, celery and cucumber

Day 4
Breakfast 2 slices dry toast, 2 poached eggs
Lunch fresh fruit (any amount)
Dinner 2 hard boiled eggs, salad, grapefruit

Day 5
Breakfast 1 slice dry toast, 2 poached eggs
Lunch 2 poached eggs & tomatoes
Dinner Fresh or tinned fish and salad

Day 6
Breakfast 1 boiled egg, 1 glass grapefruit juice
Lunch Fresh fruit (any amount)
Dinner Roast chicken, cabbage, carrots

Day 7
Breakfast 2 scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes
Lunch 2 Poached eggs and spinach
Dinner Grilled Steak and salad.

Some side notes about the diet are that you cannot eat anything that is not mentioned above, you can't substitute any of the food. You can't eat between meals, drink alcohol or have butter milk or fat. You are also not supposed to do this diet for more than 7 days at a time.

In terms of drinks you can have: black tea, black coffee, lemon tea, grapefruit juice, tonic, soda or water only.

When it says salad, it means: lettuce, cucumber, tomato and celery only.

Let me know if you've tried it and how it went for you, I'd love to hear some opinions before doing it myself.

New Workout clothes = Perfect Motivation

Winter is coming so for me it's bye bye to working out outside. In the summer, the evenings are perfect for a run or to go biking, in the winter it gets dark quick and it's either raining, or snowing, or simply ugly outside.

Because of this, I usually join the gym for the winter months as I tend to get demotivated by the weather. The atmosphere and classes in a gym are always a great substitute for me. Going to the gym for me means that I want to buy new gym clothes, and yes I love it most if they match. Alternatively, black workout clothes and bright gym shoes works for me too! If you're feeling like you need motivation, getting new work out clothes usually does the trick.

Below are some work out outfits that I like, all the pictures are from Pinterest.

3 Mascara Review

I'm always searching for the perfect mascara and it seems that something different works for everyone. Recently I've found these three mascara's and finally I found one that I can say I will definitely buy again.

I'll start from the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl. It's great in that it reaches all the small lashes, but it doesn't create this 'curl' as advertised. I found that my lashes would become flatter after application. Also the consistency of the mascara itself is very wet, takes longer to dry than I'm used to. This is an inconvenience if you're looking to apply your make up quickly.

Other than that, it lasted me about 2.5 weeks before it dried out, I've had this happen with Dior Mascaras in the past though I was hoping it wouldn't be the case this time. Unfortunately, it was.

The second mascara is Rimmel's newest mascara: Wonder'Full. The mascara is with Argan Oil which is supposed to condition your eyelashes and keep them soft throughout the day.

While it does have a light effect to it and definitely doesn't clump, I felt I had to put many layers in order to get the volume I wanted.

The last mascara I want to review is my favourite of the three. The Givenchy Noir Couture 4 in 1 really does what it says it will. The brush is sort of divided into 3 brushes which makes applying the mascara to all the small lashes super easy. Not only that but it doesn't have a flattening effect and gives plenty of volume. The consistency of the mascara is not too wet and dries quickly, it also applies well, not needing more than 2 layers. I've been using it for around 2 weeks now and there's no sign of drying up!

These are perfect for when you're too lazy or don't have time to put together an outfit!

I'm completely obsessed by matching separates. They are effortless and elegant, and perfect for those times when you have to look good but don't have time to plan out an outfit. Especially when the set is patterned or colorful, your accessories do not have to stand out. These sets can be worn casual or elegant, though they are definitely day wear and for those summer evenings when you're on holiday rather than formal evening wear. Here are some I found on Pinterest and wanted to share with you:

Dream Walk-in Closets

In the future, my dream house has to have one key element in it, a walk in closet. And i don't mean a small, dark walk in closet that are found nowadays, but an actual room adjoining the bedroom that is made up of only closets. Here are some that I have found on Pinterest and absolutely adore, I will definitely use these for inspiration when the time comes to design my own.

Paris is always a good idea

The next trip I take has to be to Paris, I've been craving it for weeks.. Although I've been there before (as a child) I don't remember much and there's so much I want to see and experience..

This is my list of places I want to visit and things that I want to do, from visiting historical places and museums to shopping and taking walks on small streets, having breakfast in small cafe's or having a picnic & wine on the Champs de Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower. There isn't a city more romantic , so placing a love lock on the bridge with a loved one is mandatory. If you haven't been, you should definitely go; if you have been, you should definitely go again.
